The Implant Is Placed. The Esthetic Result Is Still Being Decided.

In the esthetic zone, the provisional is where the outcome takes shape: it prepares the peri-implant tissue and sets the emergence profile the final restoration inherits. This workshop teaches that phase, and the prosthetic decisions that prevent complications years later, as one connected protocol.

1

Esthetic-Zone Planning

Assessment of the anterior site, the risk factors behind esthetic complications, and the prosthetic options that fit each clinical indication.

2

Real Hands-On Practice

Eight hours designing and fabricating implant-supported provisional crowns and shaping the emergence profile, not just slides.

3

A Complication-Prevention Framework

Biological, mechanical, functional and esthetic complications: how to recognize them, manage them and design them out from the start.

Getting the Implant In Is One Step. A Natural-Looking Result Is Another.

For most dentists the gap isn't ability. It's the lack of one reliable protocol for provisionals, soft-tissue shaping and prosthetic design. Without it, flat papillae, grey margins, loose screws and chipped restorations show up case after case, and anterior implants get referred out.

If any of these hit home, this workshop is for you:

  • You skip the provisional, or aren't sure how to use it to shape the soft tissue
  • The emergence profile of your final crowns doesn't look like a natural tooth
  • Recession, a grey margin or a missing papilla shows up months after delivery
  • You see screw loosening, chipping or fractured components more often than you'd like
  • You aren't sure which abutment or prosthetic design suits each case
  • You want a clear plan for managing a complication when it happens

From “Hoping It Heals Well” to “Shaping It on Purpose.”

Before the Workshop

  • Final crowns delivered on unshaped soft tissue
  • The emergence profile left to the lab
  • Abutment and prosthetic design chosen by habit
  • Complications handled after the fact
  • No one to call when a case doesn't go to plan

After the Workshop

  • Provisionals that prepare the tissue before the final restoration
  • A controlled, natural-looking emergence profile
  • Prosthetic design and abutment selection matched to the indication
  • Risk factors identified and minimized at the planning stage
  • A year of WhatsApp access to your prosthodontist instructor

Esthetic Assessment & Planning

  • The planning process in implant dentistry
  • Assessment of the esthetic zone for implant-supported restorations
  • Risk factors for esthetic complications
  • Prosthetic options and selection by clinical indication

Implant Temporization

  • Why the provisional matters before the final restoration
  • Design of implant-supported provisional crowns in the esthetic zone
  • Fabrication of provisional crowns (demonstration and hands-on)
  • Peri-implant tissue preparation and emergence profile

Prosthetic Complications

  • Biological, mechanical, functional and esthetic complications
  • Prosthetic design and abutment selection to minimize risk
  • Precautions that prevent future complications
  • Management and maintenance when complications occur

By the End of This Workshop, You Will Be Able To:

  • Explain the planning process in implant dentistry and how it affects esthetic outcomes
  • Assess the esthetic zone for implant-supported restorations
  • Identify the risk factors that lead to esthetic complications, and reduce them
  • Use a provisional restoration to prepare the peri-implant tissue and create a proper emergence profile
  • Identify common biological, mechanical, functional and esthetic complications, and ways to minimize each
  • Choose an appropriate prosthetic design and abutment to minimize complications
  • Plan cases to minimize esthetic and functional complications

Provisionals and Soft-Tissue Shaping You'll Learn to Deliver

From a custom provisional seated on an anterior implant to a sculpted peri-implant emergence profile, ready for the final restoration.

You Won't Just Watch It. You'll Build It, With a Prosthodontist Beside You.

Half of this workshop is hands-on. After a live demonstration, you'll design and fabricate implant-supported provisional crowns and refine their contours while Dr. Wazirian coaches your technique in real time. To keep that coaching personal, seating is intentionally limited.

Why it matters: in the esthetic zone, the soft tissue follows the restoration. The contours of the provisional decide whether the papillae and margins look natural, and those contours are learned with your hands, not from slides.

What you'll practice:

  • Designing an implant-supported provisional crown for the esthetic zone
  • Fabricating a screw-retained provisional
  • Contouring the provisional to support the peri-implant tissue
  • Creating a natural emergence profile
  • Prosthetic component and abutment selection
  • Working through complication scenarios and their management

The Course Ends Saturday. Your Access to the Faculty Doesn't.

Every participant gets 1 year of direct WhatsApp access to Dr. Wazirian. Review a case before you place the provisional, get a second opinion on abutment choice, or troubleshoot a complication, with the same prosthodontist who taught you.

Who This Workshop Is For

Designed for general dentists and implant dentists, including AAID members and fellows, who restore implants in the esthetic zone and want results that look natural and last.

Starting With Anterior Implants

  • You restore implants, but refer most anterior cases out
  • You want a clear, step-by-step protocol for implant provisionals
  • You want to understand esthetic risk before your next case

Already Restoring, Want Better Esthetics

  • You restore anterior implants, but soft-tissue results vary
  • You want fewer screw, component and chipping complications
  • You want a plan for when a complication does happen

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this workshop designed for?

General dentists and implant dentists, including AAID members, who restore implants in the esthetic zone or plan to, and want natural-looking results and fewer prosthetic complications.

Do I need prior implant restoration experience?

No. The workshop moves from planning and esthetic-zone assessment through provisional design and fabrication to complication management, with hands-on practice along the way.

What does the workshop cover?

Implant temporization in the esthetic zone (designing and fabricating implant-supported provisional crowns that prepare the peri-implant tissue and shape the emergence profile), prosthetic design and abutment selection, and the prevention and management of biological, mechanical, functional and esthetic complications.

How is this different from the Implant Restoration Masterclass?

The Implant Restoration Masterclass covers the full restorative workflow: components, impressions, verification and delivery. This workshop goes deeper on two areas: provisionals and soft-tissue shaping in the esthetic zone, and preventing and managing prosthetic complications.

Are clinical results guaranteed?

No course can guarantee clinical outcomes. The workshop gives you a structured protocol, supervised hands-on practice and a year of direct access to the faculty. Your results depend on case selection, practice and applying the protocol carefully in your own patients.

How are the 16 CE hours split?

8 hours of didactic lecture and 8 hours of hands-on practicum. Credits are AGD PACE recognized. AAID members should confirm with AAID how they apply to their credentialing requirements.

Where is the workshop held?

In Montreal, on the South Shore (Greenfield Park), on Friday and Saturday, November 27–28, 2026. The full venue name, address and directions are in the Venue section of this page.

Is this workshop convenient for dentists outside Montreal?

Yes. The workshop is held on Montreal’s South Shore, within easy driving distance for dentists across Greater Montreal, Laval, the South and North Shores and much of Quebec. It runs Friday and Saturday, November 27–28, 2026.

What is the WhatsApp access?

For one year after the workshop, you can message your instructor directly to review cases before you restore them, ask questions after a delivery, or get guidance on complications.

Is this workshop included in Implant Mentorship?

Yes. The Implant Temporization & Management of Prosthetic Complications Workshop is included in both Implant Mentorship and Implant Mentorship Plus.

Is the price in Canadian dollars, and are taxes included?

The price is $3,495 CAD plus GST (5%) and QST (9.975%), for a total of $4,018.38 CAD at checkout.

What is the refund policy?

A 50% refund is available up to 31 days before the course start date (October 27, 2026). No refund is issued within 30 days of the course.
