1. Who we are

This policy applies to zeebaeducation.com, its course and checkout pages, and our in-person events and online programs (together, the "Services"). Zeeba Advanced Dental Education is based at 3201 Boul. Taschereau, 2nd Floor, Greenfield Park, Quebec J4V 2H4, Canada, and offers programs in Canada and the United States.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and identity details: name, email address, phone number, mailing and billing address.
  • Professional details: profession, practice name, license or AGD number, and similar information needed to issue continuing-education (CE) certificates and confirm eligibility.
  • Purchase information: the programs you buy, amounts paid and transaction records. Card details are entered on our checkout page and processed by our payment processors (such as Kajabi Payments and Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, phone, forms or WhatsApp (including clinical case questions you choose to share during mentorship), course evaluations and feedback.
  • Event information: attendance records, dietary needs or accessibility accommodations you ask us for. We only use accommodation information to provide the accommodation.
  • Testimonials: reviews, photos or videos you agree to provide.

Patient information: please do not send us information that identifies a patient. If you share clinical images or case details for mentorship, remove names, faces where possible and other identifiers first.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring website, approximate location (city/region derived from IP address) and dates and times of visits.
  • Cookies and pixels: identifiers set by us and our partners, described in section 5.

Information from others

We may receive information from advertising and social media platforms (for example, when you respond to one of our ads or interact with our social media pages), from colleagues who refer you, and from public professional directories.

3. How we use information

  • To register you, deliver courses, workshops and mentorship, and give you access to course materials.
  • To process payments, refunds and transfers, and prevent fraud.
  • To issue CE certificates and keep the attendance records that AGD PACE and other accrediting bodies require.
  • To answer questions, provide support and arrange accommodations.
  • To send service messages (for example, event logistics and schedule changes).
  • To send marketing emails about our programs. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • To measure and improve our website and programs, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested (including people similar to our past attendees).
  • To comply with law, enforce our Terms of Use and protect our rights and the safety of others.

4. How we share information

We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers that operate our business for us, under contracts that limit their use of the data, including: website, course and email hosting (Kajabi); payment processing (Kajabi Payments, Stripe); video hosting (Wistia); cookie consent management (Cookie-Script); messaging for mentorship (WhatsApp); and fonts and maps (Google).
  • Analytics and advertising partners: Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google advertising services), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn receive device, usage and event data from our website through cookies and pixels so we can measure results and show our ads. Under some US state laws this is considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising or "targeted advertising." You can opt out as described in section 6. We may also share hashed (scrambled) email addresses or phone numbers with Meta, Google and LinkedIn so they can match them to their users, to show our ads to people similar to our past attendees or to avoid showing ads to existing students. The platforms use this information only for matching and do not keep data that does not match. To be excluded, email support@zeebaeducation.com.
  • Accrediting bodies and partners where needed to issue or verify CE credit (for example, AGD PACE), and venues for event logistics.
  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, legal process or government requests, or to protect rights, property and safety.
  • Business transfers: as part of a merger, sale of assets or similar transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18.

6. Your choices and opt-outs

  • Cookie Settings / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: use this link (also in the footer of our pages) to turn off analytics and advertising cookies. This opts you out of "sharing" and targeted advertising on that browser and device.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for that browser.
  • Marketing emails: click "unsubscribe" in any email, or email us. We will still send service messages about programs you have bought.
  • Platform settings: you can also control ads in your Google, Meta and LinkedIn ad settings, and use browser settings to block or delete cookies.

7. US state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah or Virginia), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it, and get a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax or CE accreditation);
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling;
  • obtain a list of the categories of third parties (and, in some states, the specific third parties) to which we disclose personal information;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

Sensitive information: we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not sell or share it. Accommodation requests are used only to provide the accommodation.

How to make a request: email support@zeebaeducation.com with the subject "Privacy Request," or call 240-673-6699. We will verify your request by matching the information you give us with our records, and respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent's authority and to verify your identity directly.

Appeals: if we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy Appeal." We will respond in writing within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state Attorney General.

California notice at collection

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above: identifiers (such as name, email, IP address); customer records (such as billing address and payment information); commercial information (purchases); internet or network activity; approximate geolocation; professional information (profession and license details); and audio/visual information you choose to provide (such as testimonial videos). We have disclosed identifiers and internet activity to the advertising partners listed in section 4 for cross-context behavioral advertising ("sharing"). We keep information for the periods in section 10. California residents may also request information under California's "Shine the Light" law by emailing us.

Do Not Track: we respond to the Global Privacy Control signal as described above. We do not respond to the older "Do Not Track" browser setting, because there is no common standard for it.

8. Canada and Quebec

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25). You may access and correct your information, withdraw consent (subject to legal and contractual limits), and, in Quebec, request that we stop disseminating your information or de-index it, and ask about information produced by automated processing. You may file a complaint with the Commission d'acc猫s 脿 l'information du Qu茅bec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Privacy Officer, Zeeba Advanced Dental Education, 3201 Boul. Taschereau, 2nd Floor, Greenfield Park, QC J4V 2H4, Canada 路 support@zeebaeducation.com.

9. Other regions and international transfers

Our service providers may store or process information in Canada, the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. When we transfer information, we use contracts and other safeguards required by applicable law. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on your consent (for cookies and marketing), on performance of our contract with you (to deliver programs you buy), on legal obligations, and on our legitimate interests (to run and improve our business), and you have the rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, and may complain to your local data protection authority.

10. How long we keep information

  • Registration, attendance and CE certificate records: as long as required by accrediting bodies and law (generally at least 7 years), so we can verify credits you earned.
  • Payment and tax records: as required by tax law (generally 7 years).
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or we have had no contact with you for 3 years.
  • Website analytics and advertising data: according to the settings of the tools above (for example, Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months).
  • Mentorship messages: for the duration of the mentorship period and up to 1 year after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and reputable, PCI-compliant payment processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

12. Children

Our Services are for dental professionals and students and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
