Getting Bone to Form Is One Skill. Getting It to Last Is Another.

Most grafting courses show you ideal cases and great re-entries. This workshop teaches the sites you actually see, and the complete grafting toolkit as one connected protocol, so your results hold up long after the implant is restored.

1

The Complete Grafting Toolkit

Not just GBR. Atraumatic extraction, ridge preservation, contour veneer grafting and soft tissue management, taught as one decision pathway.

2

Real Hands-On Surgery

Nine hours of flap design, suturing, extraction and grafting technique on pig-jaw models, not just slides.

3

A Predictability Framework

Material selection, workflow algorithms and the 5 key factors that make a graft case consistent over the long term.

Placing Implants Is One Skill. Building the Site First Is Another.

For most implant dentists the gap isn't ability. It's the lack of one reliable framework for case selection, material choice and flap management. Without it, outcomes vary from case to case and deficient sites get referred out.

If any of these hit home, this workshop is for you:

  • You refer out cases with deficient ridges or significant bone loss
  • Your grafting results vary from case to case without a clear reason
  • You're unsure which graft material or membrane fits a given defect
  • You've collected protocols from different CE courses that don't agree
  • You want a clear protocol for atraumatic extraction and ridge preservation
  • You want to manage flaps, hard and soft tissue with real confidence

From “It Usually Works” to “I Know Why It Works.”

Before the Workshop

  • Grafting decisions made case by case, by feel
  • Material and membrane choice driven by habit or a rep
  • Deficient sites referred out or delayed
  • Complications handled after the fact
  • No one to call when a case doesn't go to plan

After the Workshop

  • A case-selection system that tells you when to proceed and when to refer
  • An evidence-based algorithm for materials, membranes and fixation
  • Ridge preservation and contour grafting you can perform with confidence
  • Complications anticipated, prevented and managed
  • A year of WhatsApp access to your periodontist instructors

Diagnosis & Case Planning

  • Case selection, classification & treatment planning
  • Implant vs. tooth biology; bone physiology & healing
  • Presenting a treatment plan to increase case acceptance
  • Anatomy review & anatomical danger zones

Surgical Execution

  • Atraumatic extraction & ridge preservation
  • Guided bone regeneration & contour veneer grafting
  • Flap and incision design for each stage of surgery
  • Advanced suturing: suture & needle selection

Materials & Complications

  • Regenerative material selection and workflow algorithm
  • Soft tissue management around implants (VIPCTG)
  • Surgical complications and pain management
  • The 5 key factors for predictable long-term success

By the End of This Workshop, You Will Be Able To:

  • Select cases and treatment plan for guided bone regeneration and ridge augmentation
  • Apply the biological and mechanical principles behind bone graft healing
  • Perform site preparation, ridge preservation and soft tissue management
  • Select appropriate graft materials, membranes and fixation for a given defect
  • Identify and manage complications specific to bone grafting procedures

Real Cases From Our Periodontists

Ridge preservation, guided bone regeneration and soft tissue grafting (VIPCTG) cases from the techniques you'll learn in this workshop.

Clinical case series: ridge preservation at the time of extraction and the result months after ridge augmentation
Clinical case series: guided bone regeneration and tension-free primary closure using the VIPCTG soft tissue grafting technique

You Won't Just Watch It. You'll Do It, With a Periodontist Beside You.

More than half of this workshop is hands-on. You'll practice every step on pig-jaw models while two board-certified periodontists coach your technique in real time. To keep that coaching personal, seating is intentionally limited.

Why it matters: long-term grafting failures usually trace back to technique details: flap tension, incision design, suture selection, graft handling. Those are learned with your hands, not from slides.

What you'll practice:

  • Basic to advanced suturing techniques
  • Flap and incision design
  • Atraumatic extraction
  • Ridge preservation
  • Bone grafting technique
  • Soft tissue grafting (VIPCTG)

The Course Ends Saturday. Your Access to the Faculty Doesn't.

Every participant gets 1 year of direct WhatsApp access to Dr. Kiarash and Dr. Behmanesh. Review a case before your first graft, get a second opinion on a difficult site, or troubleshoot a complication, with the same periodontists who taught you.

Who This Workshop Is For

Designed for implant dentists, including AAID members and fellows, who want long-term predictability, not just good-looking re-entries.

Placing Implants, Referring Out Grafts

  • You place implants in ideal bone but refer out deficient sites
  • You want a responsible, hands-on path into grafting before your first solo case
  • You want case-selection rules that tell you when to proceed and when to refer

Already Grafting, Want Consistency

  • You graft today, but outcomes vary from case to case
  • You want results that hold up 5 and 10 years out
  • You want one evidence-based framework for material and membrane selection
